I recently contracted Bloomsbury Homes to convert and renovate two completely derelict shops into 3 luxury apartments. I found the team from start to finish very professional in their advice and outlook on this development which was very helpful being a complete novice at this myself. They project managed the site and kept the building works pretty much on budget.

I have since rented out the apartments at full asking price and am very pleased with both the quality and finish of the work. A great job done!

Last year we wanted to gut out, alter and renovate our house.  It was not a small task by any stretch of the imagination.  We wanted new wiring, new plumbing, new rooms built… the works. 


Nick managed the entire process from start to finish with both ease and complete professionalism, and attention to even the smallest details. He was on top of all tasks at all times - letting me know what needed to be considered or done next, who would be coming in to do it, and what I needed to do or decide on, if anything.  The key thing I took from all this was that I felt very well informed and involved in the project.  Nick and his team of builders stood out as knowledgeable, professional, courteous and trustworthy. 

The house itself was completed ahead of schedule and looks amazing.  They did an excellent job on all fronts and I would not even consider going to anyone else for any future work.

I gave an instruction to Mr. Nick Hayhurst and his Company Bloomsbury Homes to construct a new six bedroom detached house on a prestige three quarter acre site in Harpenden. I set a time limit of one year. The work included demolishing an existing house on the site.

I am pleased to report that the whole job was completed on time. The removal of all the material from the demolition and the excavation of new foundations were completed without any permanent damage to the ground or mature trees and hedges on the site. The road adjoining the property was kept clean at all times, contractor’s vehicles were properly controlled and the neighbours were not inconvenienced. Work time was always within the planning conditions and noise was carefully controlled. The very complicated design which used steel work, water treatment, under floor heating, extensive glazing, and solid oak beam construction, was all correctly carried out and to the satisfaction of the various specialist advisers involved.

My Architect and my Surveyor found working with Mr. Hayhurst was very satisfactory. Whilst much of the specialised material and Suppliers were originally specified, timing of delivery was arranged by Bloomsbury Homes.
The building was finished on time and within budget.
